Why this kind of theatre?

Our performances have a strong physical component. They are based on the use of the body and voice as the actor’s main instruments. From this inclination and research comes the need for an open-air theatre — in public spaces, on the streets. From our early years focused on prose theatre with social and contemporary themes, we moved towards building a technique capable of igniting the actor, making them extraordinary and trained like an athlete-artist. Our current stage research is rooted in ancient theatrical traditions and cultures (such as Greek theatre or Commedia dell’Arte) and incorporates visually striking elements like stilts, fire, masks, puppets, stage makeup, and more. These tools help us tell archetypal and mythological storiesin relation to the present — addressing contemporary social and cultural issues.
